Erik P. Cadra DMD

Dr. Cadra is a native Californian, born and raised in northern California in the town of Oakdale. He is a second-generation dentist whose father is a retired Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who practiced in Modesto, California for well over 25 years. With a younger brother wrapping up his education at Tufts Dental, one might say that a niche for oral health runs in the family. 

Dr. Cadra’s educational career began with undergraduate years at California State University, Chico, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Resort and Lodging Management. Throughout college, Dr. Cadra gained experience in the luxury hospitality industry including properties such as the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. Although he greatly enjoyed working in the resort setting, Dr. Cadra had a calling to return to school and pursue a dental career. His postgraduate education includes a Master’s in Biomedical Science from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After obtaining his dental degree, Dr. Cadra expanded his clinical training at a residency program through NYU Langone Hospitals and obtained a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. As a resident, Dr. Cadra had the benefit of working with an astute team of doctors serving Boston’s diverse patient population at Fenway’s Community Health Center. 

Life outside the office for Dr. Cadra is focused on family, friends, and fitness. Dr. Cadra tries to stay very active, whether it be working out at the gym, surfing, skiing/snowboarding and other outdoor activities. Dr. Cadra enjoys doing these activities with his beautiful wife, Meredith who shares his passion for the outdoors, physical activity, and quality time with family.  Dr. Cadra and Meredith both look forward to exploring all the activities the greater Valencia area has to offer and are very excited to make Valencia their permanent home and their future family.

"I have loved the dental profession from a young age.  During my high school years and college breaks, I had the opportunity to work as a surgical assistant in my father's practice and was exposed to dental philanthropy by participating in California Dental Association Cares volunteer events and traveled to Leon, Nicaragua on craniofacial/maxillofacial medical mission trips with my father and a team of his colleagues.  I enjoy not only the science and artistic aspect of the dental profession, but the people and relationships you meet and create along the way.
